Stop TRYING To Be HAPPY! WtF?

Positive thinking is a great thing. Positive affirmations are too! But sometimes it can be difficult to generate positive thoughts, and the affirmations become a bunch of B.S. Sometime it’s hard to think that life is ALL GOOD. That’s when I say STOP TRYING TO BE HAPPY! When you try to be happy all you can see is that you are not happy. You compare your life, yourself, you begin the blame game, your mind goes to work to figure out all the reasons why you suck. Frustration, anger, sadness and depression set in. And the big question: What is wrong with me, forces you to answer it. STOP TRYING TO BE HAPPY. How to stop the spiral? Acknowledge yourself, acknowledge your humanness, by saying things like “I know a lot of people suffer bad times, and even though I feel bad right now, I know I’m getting stronger.” Then find your way of taking care of you, ask yourself, “what do I need right now.” Take one small action toward what it is you need.  Want more help figuring it out reach out to me.
